Appearance:
Quatre is small for his age, only standing about 5'5" and thin. Coupled with his golden colored hair and bright blue eyes, most people tend to think he's younger than he really is, or even a girl at times. Don't be confused though, Quatre may be skinny, but years of horseback riding, self defense classes and the occasional fencing match, has left the blond thin, but lean and muscular.

Personality:
Quatre is your typical "nice guy" and rather quiet. He never says anything bad about people or allows rumors to spread about those that he cares about. Even though he's your typical nice guy, not many people feel the need to look down on him. Many people respect him for caring about anyone and everyone. Because of his natural charismatic attitude, people tend to believe in him and what he says. This causes people to want to follow his leadership. The blonde is also stubborn as hell, not allowing anything to stand in his way. He will not back down from anything, seeing it to be a sign of weakness and wanting those he stands against to know that no matter what, nothing will change his mind.

But Quatre does have a darker side. It's obvious there's more to the twenty-year-old than meets the eye. There are times when his normally bright blue eyes will darken and ice over with anger or sorrow. Quatre may be young, but that doesn't mean he hasn't seen his fair share of heartache and anger. When the "nice guy" face slips away, what's left is a cold, calculating, brilliant strategist with no remorse for the things he's done and will do. Sometimes Quatre looses himself in the emotions that he can pick up from other people. He can’t tell what is what and everything becomes too much for him. When his eyes become slightly crazed, and he starts to laugh… He’s gone over the edge and only something extreme can bring him back to his senses.

Abilities/Weapons:
Quatre has a brilliant mind for strategies. He can break strategies and then rebuild them to be better, to work the way that they should. He's also a gifted empath, which in itself is a curse. Being an empath allows Quatre to glimpse into what people are really feeling. Though his father looked down on fighting, Quatre was taught the basics of swordsmanship and marksmanship. Through the years, he's improved his marksmanship to become a crack shot. Through a chance meeting with a group of pirates, Quatre realized he had a skill for piloting. He decided to nurture this skill and has slowly become one of the best civilian pilots in Vohemar.

Weaknesses:
In a sense, Quatre is his own worst enemy. Because he’s such a nice guy, Quatre has a tendency to believe the best in everyone, even if there is nothing to believe in. He wants everyone to get along and will bend over backwards to ensure that it happens. If that trust that he places in someone is betrayed then, he feels upset, hurt, and angry. Sometimes this anger has the ability to get the best of him. His empathy causes him problems too. If someone is having strong emotion, such as anger, Quatre is likely to feel it and be affected by it, sometimes to the point where he can't figure out if the emotion he is feeling if his own or someone else's. If someone who is close to him dies, it hurts him, including the possibility of him losing control...

History:
Quatre Raberba Winner is the youngest of thirty, yes thirty, and born to Zayeed and Quatrine Winner. All his sisters are from different mothers, seeing as doctors told his mother that she would die if she ever gave birth to a child. But, Quatrine was a stubborn woman and wanted to bear Zayeed’s child. She died giving birth to Quatre. Zayeed named his only son after his wife. The Winner family hails from Vohemar and the city of Berum, where they’re known for their trading deals.

His life from the time he was born to about ten was simple. He’d play with his sisters, nephews, nieces, practice his violin and go to school. A life that some people might envy. As Quatre got older and leaned more about the world, he began to think that maybe his father didn’t care about him. This caused the young blonde to begin to resent his father and think he was just being used.

When he was thirteen, Quatre was returning to Berum from Colvus with his father and sister that was a year older than him, Ilia. The passenger ship they where on was attacked by a group of pirates. He refused to listen to Zayeed, when ordered to stay with the rest of the passengers. Instead, Quatre ran off to see the pirates. There was a struggle with a turncoat which left Quatre with a bullet wound in the shoulder. But, he had taken the bullet, protecting the leader of the pirates. For what reasons, they’re still unknown.

The group of pirates fled, but not after leaving a emotional mark on Quatre and leaving him the leader’s goggles. Through this event, Quatre learned that he couldn’t be bitter at his father for the rest of his life. So, he worked on becoming a better person, training his skills. While he had fights with his father, as any teenager would, he respected Zayeed. Most of their fights concerned Quatre’s yearning to become a better pilot, which he did, through many trials and tribulations.

A few days after his eighteenth birthday, he left home. He took just the savings he had, his violin, the few weapons he had, and caught passage on a ship to Bellicus. The ship he bought passage on was the Silvana. But, Quatre like the ship and the crew that he didn’t leave. So, he was put to work. First helping out in the kitchens, and then as a pilot. After some time as a pilot, Quatre asked about a position as a strategist, feeling that his skills there would be more beneficial for the ship.
